A credit card credit tracker has one job: tell you what money-like benefits are still available before the calendar takes them back.
The trouble is that “credit” can mean monthly statement credits, semiannual restaurant credits, annual travel credits, anniversary credits, merchant offers and more. They share a name. They do not share a personality.
The part worth carrying into your next decision
Credit tracking is mostly deadline management. If a benefit resets monthly or quarterly, an annual total hides the information you need most: what is still available in the current window.
- Track current-period remaining value.
- Note reset cadence and eligibility.
- Confirm posting before closing the period.

Track credits by behavior, not by marketing category
Monthly
Small, frequent and unforgiving. Best reviewed every month.
Quarterly / semiannual
Large enough to matter, infrequent enough to forget.
Annual / anniversary
Easy to postpone until the final week, when every eligible merchant suddenly feels very far away.
Three statuses are usually enough
Available means value remains. Pending means you made an eligible purchase but are waiting for the benefit to post. Used means the credit actually arrived. Keeping those states separate prevents the classic “I’m pretty sure I used that?” problem.
Make the tracker answer a money question
At the end of the year, the useful question is not “How many boxes did I check?” It is “How much of the annual fee did these credits meaningfully recover?” That is the bridge between tracking and decision-making.
Knowing the benefit is useful. Remembering it is the annoying part.
Netcarda Free helps you keep credits, reset dates, remaining balances and effective annual fee in one place — without turning your wallet into a second job.
